Monitoring, forecasting and development of online public early warning system for extreme precipitations and pluvial floods in urban areas in the Hungarian-Serbian cross-border region – URBAN-PREX (HUSRB/1602/11/0097), a project being implemented within the Interreg-IPA CBC Hungary-Serbia Programme, will be officially launched with a conference on 12 December 2017, between 10:00 AM 3:30 PM, at the “Master” Congress Centre of Novi Sad Fair, in Novi Sad, Serbia.
The opening conference of the project URBAN-PREX, organized by its Lead Beneficiary – the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Sciences, will be open to public.
With the goal to forecast extreme weather and pluvial flood occurrences in the Hungary-Serbia border region, and warn its habitants and public institutions about them timely, the project URBAN-PREX will develop a real-time precipitation forecasting model for the whole Hungary-Serbia border region and make it available via website of this project, its pages on social media networks and a mobile app.
